We want to make it as easy as possible for you to transition your account to The Bank of Burlington. Once you've opened your account, simply follow the steps below to switch your direct deposits and automatic payments. Usually this process takes up to 30 days for your former financial institution to process these forms.

Step 1: Start Banking at The Bank of Burlington.

Review our account products and services online and then stop in and we'll open your account for you. It only takes a few minutes!

Step 2: Change Your Direct Deposit.

Deciding to have your check(s) directly deposited is a smart and secure way to get paid. To set up a new direct deposit or change an existing one, fill out our Direct Deposit form and forward it on to your payroll department. If your direct deposit comes from Social Security or another retirement company, please contact them directly to switch your direct deposit.

Step 3: Redirect Your Automatic Payments.

To have your Automatic Payments begin coming out of your Bank of Burlington account, fill out this Automatic Payment Form and present it to the company that receives your payment. This can include automatic payments set up on your debit card.

Step 4: Close Your Other Accounts.

Before closing your old account ensure that all of your checks have cleared and all your Automatic Payments and Direct Deposits are now coming through your new account at The Bank of Burlington. You can the submit this Close Account Form  to your former financial institution.

Thank you for choosing to bank with us!
